— "That day, we had booked a room at the Grand Hotel for one night. We were turned away from the hotel and not refunded.
During our reservation, we specifically asked if it was possible to use the disabled parking space, as my husband and I both have disability parking permits.
The hotel informed us that we should negotiate this at the time of booking, as the hotel's disabled parking space is not free.
Upon arrival, we asked the receptionist if it was possible to use the disabled parking space free of charge. He refused, stating that it was a private hotel space.
While we were parked in the disabled parking space waiting for our reservation, he asked us to move unless we paid for parking.
I told the man to wait, but he asked me to leave five times. I told him to stop being aggressive and then told him to stop "barking" after he repeated the same thing five times, speaking so loudly that other people were looking at me!
The receptionist repeated the terms and conditions to me several times. I understood, yet he kept haranguing me with the same spiel, even threatening me with his finger. I asked him to stop yelling at me.
We were forced to leave the hotel in order to find another place to stay for the night.
I haven't received a refund yet.
I felt humiliated by this dismissal and this whole ordeal, and I wasted my Sunday for nothing.
We're shocked; we've never experienced anything like this! What is this?
