Rooms smell really bad and unpleasantly warm, even during the cool season, despite the assurance that there is air-conditioning. The male staff attended to me on the 24th of November 2025 0900, is extremely rude and unpleasant to deal with. I have a simple request and hope he can assist to check if upgrade is available as I highlighted to him that the room that I booked is warm and smelly. Who does not want to entertain upgrade? Any hotel would love to sell an upgrade to their guest. To my surprise, he displayed an unwelcoming facial expression and express that he is unwilling to check, and mentioned that I can check with others later. I feedbacked that his service is bad, and he appear to be rude, but he said, "It is ok", hinting that he doesn't care. I think I have always been very respectful to most people, and to him as well. I did not raise my voice or make unreasonable complains and my AirBnb reviews as guest are positives. Most of my hotel booking are positive. But this experience has achieve my ultimate negative experience of my lifetime. The interaction I get from Hanoi EcoStay is absolutely terrible, so I checked and realized that there is a long history of negativities and complains about this hostel. It became apparent that I am not the only one who have issues with them.

I rather not stayed in that place without even getting a refund. You can imagine how terrible that place can be, to the point I rather forgo what I paid to them. You have to avoid this place at all costs, no matter how cheap the price is. I suspect that they have many fake positive reviews to cover their negative history. It hard to imagine people could actually give 3 stars for that kind of service and place. I am shocked to see 5 stars review with short positive comments.
