Recently spent 2 weeks in the Starfish Hotel Tabago. I have been to other Caribbean holidays, but this was by far the best. A friend and myself (both fun loving mature ladies) had a wonderful time. No jet skies, no speed boats, no kids, no hassle from vendors, no Bingo and no under fed animals.
The gardens of the hotel were beautifully maintained, and a wonderful beach, we had it to ourselves most of the time as the pool seemed more popular, well it had a bar. Some mornings you can watch the fishermen hauling in their catch accompanied buy the amazing Pelicans. We had an oppertunity to watch some baby turtles being released on the beach, thanks to the lovely Timothy. Food, never had a problem but if you are fussy eater… tough!
Evening entertainment, some good some not so good… cocktails amazing so drink plenty and every evening would be fantastic. Management and staff did a fabulous job, if you a problem they fixed it.
Not a resort for walking (except along the beach) as there are no pavements and the roads are busy, but Taxies are cheap enough.
There is plenty to see, this island is full of natural beauty and incredible panoramic views which you will see on the many Tours that are available.
We booked all our tours through WOODY TOURS at the Starfish, the boat trip organised by Woody was brilliant. Somtimes you might be lucky and see dolphins but no guarantees. You can have a go at catching your own fish… well, I had a rum punch instead. We went to a lovely small bay where we swam and snorkled while Woody and crew (very plesant young men) set up camp and fire to cook the fish and chicken, very nice.
We also did a drive around Tabago visting other places of interest and to see the beautiful humming birds. Остановились в заливе Инглишменс на подветренном берегу Табаго, таком естественном и нетронутом. Мы пообедали, еда отличная.
