Room 303 was found to have rags and loose change left behind by housekeeping staff, making it seem like the room hadn't been cleaned at all. The toilet paper was less than 1/6 full and hadn't been replenished. They said before check-in that the room would be cleaned by 7 PM and they would call to let us know, but they never did. We didn't get in until 9 PM, and it was still in this state of disrepair. 🙄 The floor was uneven, and the pillows were terrible – they flattened and lost their elasticity. The plunger in the bathtub wouldn't hold the water; the hot spring water just slowly drained away, which was incredibly wasteful.
The soundproofing was also terrible; the cleaning noise in the morning was very loud.
The TV brightness couldn't be adjusted, and the picture quality was poor and too glaring.
The most outrageous thing was that the power suddenly went out in the middle of the night, and there was a strong burning smell, making it impossible to sleep. We thought something had burned, but when we called the front desk, they knew nothing, saying it was the first time they'd encountered this and that we had to go downstairs to the front desk to find out the problem. Later, we learned that a problem with the wiring in the back alley caused the power outage, and a temporary generator was running, causing the smell. We already told the front desk to open the main door on the first floor. They let the generator run and the air intake clear, yet they remained indifferent. Don't their staff receive crisis management training? Is this the crisis management awareness of Taiwan's hotel industry? What if the smell had been caused by a fire? The next day at checkout, there were only three people at the front desk, and not a single manager apologized or offered an explanation. At nearly 4000 NTD per night, the experience was truly poor. Such hospitality in a famous tourist area is regrettable. Жаль, учитывая местоположение; оно того не стоит!
