June 21, 2026 Morning Bath.
I arrived around 8:30 AM and used the day-use bathing service.
There were two other customers when I arrived, and two more came later, but it wasn't crowded.
The entrance fee is 700 yen, but with the JAF discount it was 650 yen. There are shoe lockers, changing shelves, and lockers free of charge. Rinse-in shampoo and body soap are provided.
Upon entering the bathing area, I was immediately hit with the smell of hot springs. I think it's the smell of iodine? It smells nice.
After washing myself, I first entered the lukewarm spring water bath. The water was light brown with mineral deposits floating in it. The source water temperature seems to be 31℃, but the water temperature in the bathtub was 30℃ as indicated by my thermometer.
Next, I went to the main bath. Perhaps because it's heated, there were almost no mineral deposits, and the water temperature was slightly over 40℃, compared to the indicated 41-42℃.
There are 13 washing areas without partitions, and a cold bath and showers next to the cold bath.
Unfortunately, due to the time constraints, the sauna wasn't operating, and there was no open-air bath or open-air area.
I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful water by warming up in the main bath until I was sweating profusely, then cooling down in the spring water bath, and repeating the process.
However, there were two people who seemed to be locals, and their manners were terrible! They jumped straight into the bath without washing themselves, and then even put their towels in the water to wash themselves – unbelievable! Perhaps the elderly man was frail and couldn't distinguish between his home and a public place?
I wanted to just dry myself off after getting out of the bath, but I ended up washing myself again in the washing area. Какая жалость!
