This is a luxury inn in name only.
When we checked in on the first day, the staff member who was showing us to our room smelled strongly of cigarettes and was coughing the whole time. I don't know if he was feeling unwell, but he wasn't even wearing a mask, and I felt it was extremely inconsiderate for him to enter our room and explain things in that state. The staff member's explanation was also extremely brief, and I could tell he was trying to get it over with quickly and was trying to hold back a cough, which was very unpleasant and rude.
The lounge area by the large public bath had a strong, unpleasant odor (like body odor), which was not exactly a relaxing environment.
Also, the room only provided one pair of slippers, one large and one small, and the larger one clearly didn't fit. On the second day, I explained that we were two women staying and requested that they be exchanged for the smaller size. I was told that they would exchange them during cleaning, but this did not actually happen.
One of the packages I had sent to the hotel in advance was missing, and when I inquired, I was told that it hadn't arrived and was missing. However, it was later found and delivered. I felt that if I hadn't checked, it might have remained that way, and I felt very uneasy about their management system.
Regarding the hot springs, the official explanation was extremely vague and far from the truth.
There is no natural hot spring water within the hotel, and the "lukewarm water from the source" that is supposed to be in the large public bath was never actually used, with no water being poured from the outlet and completely stopped.
The bathtub is a so-called "reservoir" that is heated and circulated from the bottom, and can hardly be called natural hot spring water.
Furthermore, the room with a hot spring that we booked also does not have natural hot spring water, which was extremely disappointing as we chose the hotel primarily because of the hot springs.
The food also left me with questions. At dinner on the first night, no water or tea was provided, so we ate without any drinks. As a result, we had no choice but to pay extra for alcohol, which left a very bad impression. The food itself also gradually became less tasty as it progressed, and it was difficult to continue eating, especially after the tempura. Despite staying multiple nights, dinner on the second night was clearly better than the first, raising questions about the consistency of the food.
The staff's attitude upon check-out was also dishonest. Although I was informed in advance that they could provide transportation to the nearest bus stop (approximately 150m + 30 stairs), on the day I was told that it would be faster to walk. This was a lack of consideration, especially considering I was carrying two large suitcases and two small pieces of luggage, and the instructions were inconsistent.
Furthermore, the overall service was very superficial and completely heartless. По ощущениям, это был холодный бизнес-отель, работающий по инструкции, и он меркнет по сравнению с другими давно существующими отелями с термальными источниками, в которых я останавливался во время этой поездки.
В целом, у меня сложилось сильное впечатление, что этот отель поддерживает свою репутацию скорее за счет рекламы и популярности, чем за счет реальных результатов.
