My husband and I have traveled and seen a lot for many years, but perhaps this is the worst hostel we have ever seen! More precisely, the worst hosts.
We have booked a room with a private bathroom, a private balcony, a double bed. Everything looked decent in the photo. But when we arrived, we were moved into the room in the photo. A tiny room of no more than 5 square meters, a bathroom shared across the entire corridor with a bunch of guests, a creaky old bed, a crumbling wardrobe, a mini-refrigerator and that's it. A sad bum-style room, such as we have not seen even in the most remote villages of India. And the price for 3 nights is 180 lari (67 USD, more than 6000 in rubles).
We showed our reservation, but the hostess said that they do not have such rooms for this price at all, there is only a Suite, but there is an additional fee of 40 GEL for each night — 120 GEL needs to be paid. We spent one night at the hotel (almost sleepless, because we were looking for another hotel all night at the height of the season). In the morning, we informed the hostess that we were leaving. She immediately offered to stay in the Suite without additional charges. We refused.
They just tried to cheat us and thereby spoiled our impressions not only of the region, but also of Sakartvelo as a whole. Such people "chop down the branch they are sitting on" — we will never go on vacation to Sakartvelo again.
Plus, the luxurious courtyard, which everyone praises, is made exclusively for the owners and their numerous family and friends. They drink at night and sing songs. They feel good, we are happy for them, but the guests in this courtyard are extremely uncomfortable. This is not how guest business is conducted. In the same Sakartvelo there are places where the courtyard is completely provided only to guests and in such places you want to stay again and again.

Мы забронировали комнату с собственной ванной комнатой, собственным балконом, двуспальной кроватью. По фото выглядело всё прилично. Но когда мы приехали нас заселили в комнату на фото. Крошечная комната не более 5 кв. Метров, ванная общая на весь коридор с кучей гостей, скрипучая старая кровать, разваливающийся шкаф, мини-холодильник и всё. Унылая бомж-стайл комнатка, такого мы не видели даже в самых удалённых деревнях Индии. А цена за 3 ночи — 180 лари (67 usd, более 6000 в рублях).
Мы показали своё бронирование, но хозяйка сказала, что у них таких номеров за эту цену вообще нет, есть только Люкс, но за него доплата по 40 лари за каждую ночь — 120 лари нужно доплатить. Мы провели в отеле одну ночь (почти бессонную, т. К. Всю ночь искали в разгар сезона другой отель). На утро сообщили хозяйке, что уезжаем. Она тут же предложила остаться в Люксе без доплат. Нас просто пытались обжурить и тем самым испортили впечатления не только о регионе, но и о Сакартвело в целом. Такие люди "рубят сук, на котором сидят" — мы больше никогда не поедем отдыхать в Сакартвело.
Плюс — роскошный двор, который все хвалят сделать исключительно для хозяев и их многочисленной семьи и друзей. Они пьют по ночам и напевают песни. Им хорошо, мы за них рады, но гостям на этом дворе крайне неуютно. Так гостевой бизнес не ведут. В том же Сакартвело есть места где двор полностью предоставлен только гостям и в таких местах хочется останавливаться снова и снова.
