I wish to start by saying that the staff are very kind and helpful. They are knowledgeable and share this with their guests.
The hotel itself is located in a good area not far from the shore and main tourist area of the town.
There are however some construction sites going on next to the hotel so not always quiet.
Our room was large enough and kept mostly clean. However there were a few drawbacks, for example electricity sockets or light switches not next to the bed, which made charging phones or iPads difficult, as well as switching off the lights at night to go to sleep inconvenient.
The beds and pillows are however very good, and even though I have chronic neck and back problems, I slept very well — which says a lot!
The shower was temperamental. From hot to cold and vice versa. I mentioned this to reception several times and believe they tried their best to improve. Also the shower is not well build since the water tends to flow over the low edge, even with the low water pressure.
We were located on the 3rd floor which without a lift can be tedious for older residents, especially if one has knee problems.
The pool was not heated and one also needs to request the jacuzzi to be switched on 40 minutes prior to use, and the water was never really hot but somewhat only a little warm, which is not ideal.
A point I did not like is that one had to announce when one wants breakfast in the morning, and it was only available until 9:00 am, which is not well suited if one wants to relax and sleep in. Not sure why this is so.
The breakfast is also such that one is served a changing dish every day. While the food is good, there is no choice if you happen not to like what was being served that day or prefer something different. There was no orange juice on any of the days we were here (6 nights). The breakfast issue was a big disappointment and at times stressful for me.
