My experience at Hotel Urumpta was, frankly, a prime example of how to ruin a basic concept of hospitality: guest relaxation.
We're talking about an expensive hotel. You pay to relax and enjoy the facilities. However, they organize aquagym classes in the main pool during peak hours. Yes, aquagym: music, an organized group, and the pool occupied while guests wait. Seriously, did no one think to do it in the outdoor pool or during off-peak hours? This is basic hospitality.
And as the days went by, I was lucky I was only there for a few days. I didn't stay much longer because it felt like the worst day of my life, like on a reality TV show. As the days passed, the service deteriorated. There was no massage service because there were no appointments available. Terrible: it seems like there's only one employee. How many people are actually working? There's no organization. Not once did they tell you, "You can get an appointment tomorrow"; there simply weren't any.
A supposedly four-star hotel should be at least two or three stars, given the level of service. A heated pool isn't enough: stars are earned through service. Like Michelin stars, which are based on attentiveness, food, and the overall experience. And this isn't it: just facilities with no service.
On top of that, the manager made a comment about who wrote the review, trying to delete it. But it can't be deleted. Know this is permanent. It will be there forever. If they want to remove the reviews, they'll have to create a new hotel profile. It'll take Edward Snowden to pull it off. It's unbelievable that a manager, being the face of the hotel, doesn't know something so basic about how reviews work.
So, folks, whoever sees this, know that they tried to hide the truth. They don't want it known that this is a hotel with terrible service, poor attention to detail, and substandard amenities. Pools and facilities are nothing if they don't offer customer service. Нельзя хвастаться звездами, основываясь исключительно на удобствах. Звезды — это результат сочетания факторов. Это не стирается, это навсегда останется в памяти.
