I've been to Lang Co many times, but this was my first time staying overnight here:
1. Cleanliness: 8/10
2. Service: 10/10 Friendly and helpful staff.
— Reception and bellboy: Good.
— Room: Okay, we got a free upgrade to a villa, the room was spacious and comfortable, with full amenities.
— Swimming pool: Clean and beautiful, but the landscaping here is rather sparse.
— Spa: Good, good technique and skilled hands.
— Restaurant: Delicious breakfast, many dishes, the menu seems to have changed recently.
3. Location: 100/10 Right on Lang Co beach, just a step away from the sea, opposite Lap An lagoon. 30km to Da Nang.
4. Room: 9/10 Fully equipped.
Cons:
— This place has only been open for 2 years, but the maintenance of the property and facilities isn't very good. The wall panels are infested with termites and peeling.
The bathroom has moss. The paintings in the room are peeling; engineers, I'm afraid they'll fall on my face while I sleep!
— The landscaping around the main area isn't clean and green.
— The resort is beautiful but hasn't highlighted its own unique style. Furthermore, I don't understand the design motif here; it's a mix of Western, Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese styles. The dining room is tropical, the spa has a Japanese-style bridge, the villa rooms are modern but have paintings of wine and Vietnamese conical hats hanging opposite each other, the patio has a camping-style roof, the lights are modern, and the ceiling fans are tropical.
The architect designed it in a solid wood style, the dining tables and chairs in the rooms look very much like government-issued furniture. However, the small details aren't refined enough for a 5-star resort.
