My wife and I were so pleased with our stay at The Platinum Pebble it took us a few days to collect our thoughts into a cohesive review. We visited during the offseason (December 13-15) for a couple of days away prior to the holiday craziness and to recognize my wife’s birthday that had occurred the week prior. We had never stayed with The Platinum Pebble previously and found the property through a web search and examination of the reviews; many of which were so gracious one wondered if they had lots of friends that had stayed with them.
Once we arrived there was no doubt those reviews were travelers such as us that were just blown away. From the moment we pulled into the lot, Shawn was there to assist with our bags and welcome us to the property. After a brief review of the property and policies that was more like a friendly conversation rather than a lecture, he showed us to our room (6).
The room is a large space with a great gas fireplace and sitting area just ripe for a good book and a glass of wine! There was also a little porch off to the side, considering it was winter we did not plan on utilizing it much but could foresee a nice light lunch while sitting in the sun during the peak season.
The bed and bedding were of the highest quality and unbelievably comfortable, so much so I had to ask for the name of the type of mattress as we were in the market for a new one and after sleeping on it, we decided that it was the one we wanted. Of course, being the smashing hosts they are, Sharon had all the information we needed to pursue a purchase and a discount code for $100 bucks off!
Both nights we stayed it snowed which was beautiful, but to come out and find our car not only shoveled out but cleaned off was a special touch that we felt just said “we are glad to have you”. Breakfast was amazing and so fresh it made my heart sing!
