Roaches found in room stayed here 2 nights 9/19 and 9/20/2026. Wanted to have a nice vacation with my family in SanDiego Old Town area. Drove almost 5 and a halve hours from Las Vegas. I arrived at 1:30pm at the property and asked front desk to please not assign me to a room with a connecting door, since I had my wife and 2 children. We went to eat and walk around the town since we were told we couldn’t check — in till 3-4pm. When we came back around 5:30pm they assigned me to room As soon as we walked in the room it looked and smelled dirty, crumbs by table area, carpet ripped, dirty lamp, a dirty appearance, musty smell and with a connecting door. Immediately I called the front desk and they said they couldn’t offer a different room because they were sold out but that they would move me to another room for the 2nd night. The same night my wife killed a small roach in the bathroom, she smashed it with the toilet paper and showed it to me and I flushed it down the toilet, when we wanted to lay down in bed we found a second insect on the sheets. The next day we asked the housekeeper for a fresh set of blankets. On the second night I got up to use the restroom and I saw a roach crawling by the bathroom door, I smashed it but carefully so you could still see what it was. I turned my light on and took pictures. Check out morning, we told the front desk guy everything, even showed him pictures, he said the manager was not in, so I gave him my number and told him I would be expecting a call, more than a week after and still no response or call. Called today and talked to GM named Heaven. I emailed her the photos as she requested, only to tell me that there was nothing she could do, saying their pest control company they use inspected the room today and that they said no activity was found, therefore she couldn’t give me any kind of refund for the stay, she only refunded me $50 for the parking fee for the both nights. I sent her the pictures that show roach gel bait application in the furniture hinges which clearly indicates that her pest control applied to treat for roach activity. So why would there be roach gel bait in that specific room if there was no previous activity. Also the fact that they put me to a connecting room the roaches could of crawled in from the room next door, also bathroom vent had big cracks around it so roaches can travel from room to room. I payed $420 for two nights room and tax, plus $50 for two nights parking and to say this has been the worst hotel experience I’ve had. There is a reason I went with a choice hotel, there’s suppose to be better standards.
