We just returned from a fantastic week! Huge apartment (there were three of us and the apartment was for 5-7 people).
The apartment was assigned to us at No. 812, Building 19 (the administrative office is in Building 20, next door) ; a little dated but well-maintained, spacious, with a large terrace, 3 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms.
Very clean, with daily maid service and a 1.5-liter bottle of mineral water left for us every day.
24/7 security in the lobby.
A well-stocked supermarket and Illy bar/café are located in the shopping center at the rear of the building, along a pleasant tree-lined avenue with a separate 5 km pedestrian and cycle path!
ALL the staff were extremely kind and friendly. A special "thank you" to the reception manager for the thoughtfulness and care he showed us from the beginning (we arrived around 2:00 a. M. And he helped us with our luggage! ), right through to the end (checked out at 4:00 a. M. Even making sure to call us a taxi to the airport! ). Very, very professional!
We used the beach for three hours one afternoon alone; given the reviews, some of which were critical, we asked the security guard in our building 19 to notify his colleague in the building across the way that we were going to the beach. When we showed up, he let us pass without any problem, and we took a spot under an umbrella and three loungers. No one, not even the beach attendant, caused any problems, nor were we asked to pay. Maybe it was the afternoon, maybe there weren't many people on the beach, or maybe we used our own towels…
The taxi service was excellent overall: much cheaper than in our home country, Italy, for getting around Dubai, anywhere.
We did a lot of traveling, as it was a trip we planned and organized ourselves even before leaving. A trip we would do again without changing a thing: starting with the R. C. P. J. Where we had a truly wonderful time!
