I drove from Munich to this hotel expecting to have a special experience at the only 5-star hotel in Arad.
The disappointment was quite big, but I had to expect it, it's Romania…
1. The parking is opposite, outside, cobblestone and doesn't seem protected.
2. The reception is quite cramped. As soon as I arrived I had to pay in advance. I usually have dinner and pay everything when I leave.
3. The room was on the 1st floor. From the reception you go up a staircase and then you go out into a hallway outside. Access to the room is practically from the outside. Being 0 degrees, quite unpleasant.
4. The door to the room wouldn't stay closed unless I pushed it and locked it with a classic key.
5. The bathroom was very small and cramped, you could hear everything from the neighbors next door (voices and sounds that are usually heard from the bathroom). The shower was extremely uncomfortable and the water pressure was a joke. The tiles were extremely slippery.
The sink with a round design and the faucet low, between it and the wall, was difficult to operate.
The mirror was extremely small and placed too low, I could only see half of my face at almost 2m.
The room was otherwise comfortable and spacious.
6. When I was walking to the room on that outside corridor, I passed by other rooms. Those who lived in the room next door left dishes with food on the windowsill outside the window… although there is a refrigerator in the room.
7. The dinner was not to my taste, but that's subjective. The small restaurant. What bothered me was that a girl who sat at the neighboring table was talking on the speaker phone with someone and the waiter, although he served her a few times, did not draw her attention to the fact that she was disturbing.
8. The breakfast was extremely limited. Although I tried the omelette I couldn't eat it, it tasted strange. I only ate a boiled potato… they didn't even have hot water for tea. Кофе нужно заказывать отдельно, кофемашины нет.
9. Китчевый вид — слишком много картин и вещей, не связанных друг с другом, слишком много цветов — повсюду ощущение тесноты и перегруженности.
Есть и другие недостатки, но на этом я остановлюсь.
В заключение, обслуживание, персонал и качество не на 5 звезд.
