We spent a wonderful week's holiday at Hotel Garisenda and wholeheartedly recommend this small, family-run hotel.
We stayed as a family of four with our seven — and nine-year-old children. Our family room was ideal for us: we parents had our own bedroom with a bathroom, and the children had a separate room with bunk beds. This gave everyone plenty of space and a bit of privacy. The entire hotel and our room were always very clean and well-maintained.
What truly sets the hotel apart is its exceptionally warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owners and the entire team were always friendly, attentive, and helpful. You can immediately tell that the hotel is run with a lot of heart. We felt welcome and very well cared for from the very first day. Every wish was fulfilled, and we always had the feeling that the guests' well-being was the top priority.
We would also like to commend the food. Our children's special dietary requirements were handled with great care and without any fuss. My vegetarian diet was also readily accommodated, so I felt perfectly catered for at every meal. This personal attention is truly exceptional and made our stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel is also ideal for guests who don't speak Italian, as the owner speaks German. This makes communication very easy, and you can always contact him with questions or requests.
The beach, which can be booked through the hotel, is another major plus. It's just steps away and easily accessible on foot. The beach is situated in a small, sheltered bay. The water remains shallow for a long way out, making it perfect for children to play, splash around, and go into the sea. This is ideal, especially for families with young children, and ensures a relaxing beach holiday.
The combination of personalized service, a welcoming atmosphere, cleanliness, delicious food, and proximity to the child-friendly beach made our vacation truly special. It's a place where families can truly feel at home.
