We have just returned from a relaxing 5 night stay at the all inclusive Aqualand Resort in Corfu. We were a party of 3, including 2 adults and our 18 year old son.
The hotel itself is modern, well presented and generally very clean. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Especially bar staff!
The accommodation was modern, well presented, with everything we needed including air con. This was all maintained with daily housekeeping. The bonus of a proper roll out sofa bed for the leggy 18 year old was very much appreciated.
There were 2 pools in the hotel itself. Including a large wave pool area with plenty of inflatable rings. The attached water park (with free entrance) was a fantastic addition. There were numerous slides and pools to explore suitable for all ages. Both the resort and waterpark had no shortage of sunbeds to lounge on and sunbathe / relax.
The food service in the restaurant was buffet style. It was reasonably varied with a few themed nights. But unfortunately often served cold. The hot drinks and coffee were also pretty poor quality. However, the dessert selection was a particular favourite with our family. There is also an additional restaurant on site available to book once during your stay.
The snack bar by the pool served a few snacks throughout the day including hot dogs, chips and self served ice cream. The neighbouring bar also served some select cocktails, beer, wine local spirits and soft drinks to keep you refreshed by the pool.
Its worth noting food and drink in the water park itself is not included. This wasn't a problem for us as we just nipped back and forth into the resort for food / drinks. There is also a mini market in the resort that sells everything you might need at reasonable prices.
It's worth being aware that the hotel is some distance in land with not much to walk to. But there was the opportunity to book bus trips to Corfu town and a local beach. There was some daytime and evening entertainment on offer in the resort. But we chose not to take part so can't pass judgement there!
